As a SYSPRO 8 customer, you may be aware that SYSPRO provide two releases of SYSPRO 8 annually, in March and October.
SYSPRO 8 2021 R1 has now been released which includes a number of new features. This builds on the 2020 R2 release which is a significant release that will typically require 3-4 hours to apply. Depending on your business needs, you may choose to update to either SYSPRO 8 2020 R2 or SYSPRO 8 2021 R1
In order to ensure that we can support you as required and with the timescale to install being longer than previous releases, we recommend that you carefully review the features available and plan accordingly to ensure minimum impact to your business in-line with other projects you may have underway and business as usual activities.

Part of the upgrade process involves uninstalling SAP Crystal Reports 2013 from your server and installing the later SAP Crystal Reports 2016 SP8 version.
It is this process that takes the majority of the time due to the complexity of the Crystal Reports Installer (allow 2 hours +).
In addition, these changes will also require simultaneous updates to:
- K3 Web reports (Stand-alone report viewer also used for Equator and Orchard).
- Existing Sales Order Document format formulas for Stock Code and Description (read the how to).
- Automail configuration if Server side reporting is in use (details on how to deploy and configure the solution).
- Other 3rd party product (non K3) if the crystal runtime is used.
