Prism Electronics utilises the power of SYSPRO

Specialist contract manufacturer Prism Electronics is harnessing the power of a fully-integrated SYSPRO ERP system from K3 Business Technology Group (K3). SYSPRO is key to streamlining the electronic circuit board manufacturer’s business. Replacing an aged DOS-based system, SYSPRO has strengthened Materials Required Planning and Operational Control and provides the flexibility Prism needs to develop the system relative to its business.

Prism Electronics specialises in modest volume make-to-order complex manufacturing for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). From its base in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, the company manufactures and supplies high-quality electronic assemblies that find their way into a range of machinery including industrial printers and scientific instruments. The company provides a range of services to its customers. These include design support from Prism’s specialist engineering team, materials management, production, prototyping, testing and post-production support.

“Indeed, since the SYSPRO implementation there has been a 50% increase in the number of product types we manufacture with a greater proportion of new products.”
