Dementia is the number one cause of death in England and Wales. It doesn’t discriminate and currently there’s no cure. The Alzheimer’s society are hoping to change that.
Last year, dedicated Cupcakers from around the country raised a massive £330,000 to help fight against dementia. That’s more than enough to fund 11 PhD researchers for a year, giving them the opportunity to undertake vital and potentially lifesaving work.
This year they want to raise even more. That’s why we are joining in on the 15th June for Cupcake Day 2017. We, like people up and down the country in their thousands, will be baking, buying and of course eating, lots of scrummy cupcakes.
